The Development Authority of the City of Milledgeville and Baldwin County held its third Existing Industry Appreciation Day serving three lunch waves to 800 Triumph Aerostructures employees Tuesday.
City Councilmen, County Commissioners and the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Young Professionals joined Development Authority board members feeding hungry workers.
The final Existing Industry Appreciation Month luncheon next week at Blandy Corners will complete 2,000 total employees fed.
The day's event sponsors included Exchange Bank, Georgia Power, Windstream, the City of Milledgeville Water and Sewer Department, the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber, Tim Ingram from Ingram and Associates on behalf of the county, Century Bank & Trust and Bug House Pest Control. Tent-Sational Events, the Goodie Gallery and Coca-Cola jumped on board also. Hormel contributed food donations, while Performance Food Service discounted supplies.
