Shelby Leigh Ashfield and Christopher Allen Calhoun were married at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 20 at First Baptist Church in Milledgeville. The Rev. Jerry Bradley officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Charles M. Ashfield.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Osborne, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ashfield, all of Milledgeville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mrs. Doris Faulk of Unadilla, the late Mr. Henry Bowden Sr. of Homer, the late Mrs. Kate Ashfield of Milledgeville, and Mr. Jack Ashfield of Milledgeville.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Calhoun of Wadley. He is the grandson of the late Mrs. Jeanette Webber of Jesup, the late Mr. Joe Webber of Jesup, Mrs. Betty Calhoun of Wadley, and the late Mr. Thomas Calhoun of Wadley.

Shelby’s Matron of Honor was her friend, Mrs. Alisha Davis of Waynesboro. The bridesmaids were the groom’s sister, Mrs. Kelly Fulmer of Appling; and the bride’s friends, Mrs. Melissa Stasney of Gray, Miss Haley Trautz of Mt. Vernon, and Miss Hope Williamson of Patterson. The flower girls were the bride’s cousin, Miss Chloe Bowden of Sycamore, and friend of the bride, Miss Olivia Teaque of Milledgeville.

Chris’ Best Man was his father, Mr. Andy Calhoun of Wadley; and his son, Master Drew Calhoun of Wadley. The groomsmen were his brother-in-law, Mr. Neal Fulmer of Appling; the groom’s friends, Mr. Adam Brett of Bartow, and Mr. Perry Gladin of Wadley; and friend of the bride, Mr. Dustin Trautz of Tampa, Florida. The ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, Master Jake Fulmer of Appling.

The wedding included performances by organist Mrs. Amelia Cotten, and vocalists Mr. Chris Calhoun, Mr. Kerry Gladin, and Mr. Perry Gladin.

The wedding was directed by Mrs. Coleen Daryrymple of Milledgeville. It was catered by Mrs. Annette Ford and Mrs. Millie Dykes of Simply Elegant Catering of Milledgeville. Mrs. Patsy Hicks of Milledgeville provided the wedding cakes. Flowers were arranged by Flowers Etc. of Milledgeville. The wedding photographer was Mr. Delaney Holliman of Red Orchid Productions Inc. of Macon, and the videographer was Mr. Mark Foley of Foley Productions, Inc. of Bonaire.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church of Milledgeville.

The couple honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica West Indies, and now resides in Wadley.
