The Oak Hill Middle School track program dominated the Charlie Williams Relays on Saturday, sweeping the team events handily.
On the boys’ side, the Braves notched 147 points to claim the overall title. Their closest competition was T.J. Elder Middle School out of Sandersville with 60 points. Henderson had 56, Taliaferro had 35 and Carson had eight.
Jarvis Wright earned High Point Medalist honors on the boys’ side. He won the long jump with a 19-foot-6-inch mark and the 100-meter low hurdles with a time of 14.76 seconds.
Other Oak Hill winners include:
- Carnell Boyd — 100-meter dash, 60-meter dash
- Kavasla Robinson — 800-meter run
- Lamarcus Brown — 75-meter dash
- D. Beckham — 400-meter dash
- Oak Hill 4x400-meter relay A Team
- Oak Hill 400-meter relay A team
Oak Hill also had eight second-place finishes, two thirds, one fourth, two fifths and one sixth.
On the girls’ side, the Bravettes notched 116 points to claim the title. Their closest competitor was T.J. Elder Middle School, earning 63 points. Henderson eanred 49 points, Taliaferro had 39 points and Carson picked up 21.
On the girls’ side, first-place finishers include:
- Valencia Tuft — long jump
- L Harris — 100-meter dash
- C. Harris — 400-meter dash
- Oak Hill 400-meter relay A team
- Oak Hill 4x400-meter relay A team
Oak Hill also had five second-place finishes, three thirds, five fourths and two fifths.
