Florence Carey Register, Nov. 19, 2013

MILLEDGEVILLE — Mrs. Florence Carey Register, 94, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville with the Rev. Roy Kittle officiating. Private interment will be held in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the service hour to receive friends.

Mrs. Register was born and raised in Laurens County and had lived most of her adult life in Baldwin County. She was the daughter of the late Issac T. and Martha Kennedy Carey, retired as an attendant from Central State Hospital and was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine (John) Cooksey; sons, Sanford (Sarah) Register and Roger (Carol) Register, all of Milledgeville; step-daughter, Frankie Matson of Florida; brother, Robert Carey of Milledgeville; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
