MILLEDGEVILLE — The death of Mrs. Annie Wall Griffeth, 87, occurred January 16, 2013. Services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Moores Funeral Home with the Rev. Carol Scroggs officiating. Burial will follow in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Griffeth was a native of and lived most of her life in Milledgeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. (Bud) Griffeth and a number of brothers and sisters. She was the daughter of the late Wesley Edmund and Callie Jones Wall.  She was retired from the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service and worked for a number of years after retirement in the Georgia College Admissions Office. She was a member of Hardwick United Methodist Church where she served as secretary and treasurer for more than 15 years. She also previously served as treasurer of the Georgia College Wesley Foundation. She enjoyed bowling and square dancing and was known for the cakes she baked and decorated and receptions she catered.

Survivors include: daughter, Pam Griffeth Smith (Keith) of Loretto, Tenn.; son, Hank Griffeth (Cindy) of Milledgeville; four grandchildren, Kristopher Smith of Nashville, Tenn.; Jonathan Smith of Huntsville, Ala.;  Emily Williams (Scott), and Eric Griffeth (Candice), both of Milledgeville; two brothers, Bill Wall and Jesse Wall (Chris) of Milledgeville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Moores Funeral Home Friday 6 to 8 p.m.  and immediately prior to the funeral service.
