Dorothy Heaton Freeman obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — Mrs. Dorothy Heaton Freeman, 73, passed away at her home, Monday, Oct. 21, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Glover officiating. Interment will follow at Scenic Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, Milledgeville Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m.

Mrs. Freeman was a native of Louisville, Ga., the daughter of the late Otis Heaton and the late Annie Lee Car Heaton. She had lived in Baldwin most of her adult life where she worked for and later retired from Central State Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Freeman.

Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte (Randy Wood) Demmon of Milledgeville and Kathy (Robert Deshaine) Freeman of South Carolina; sisters, Daisy Cummings and Virginia Carpenter; brothers, Jessie Heaton and Clayton Martin; grandchildren, Matt Demmon, Chris Demmon, Mason Fipps, Nichole Fipps and Josh Hazinakis.
