MILLEDGEVILLE — Mildred Frazier Barnes, 87, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with the Rev. Brandon Furr officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Barnes was a native of Hancock County but had made her home in Milledgeville. She was a retired para professional with Baldwin County School System.

Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Tennis and Alma L. Johnson Frazier; her husband, William Daniel “Stewart” Barnes Jr.; and two grandchildren, Jimmie Williamson Jr. and Jennifer McMillan. She was a long-time member of Mosleyville Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Gloria Chandler (Francis) of Greensboro, Glenda Hamm, Kay Brown (Carl) and Kim Burgamy (William), all of Milledgeville; a brother, Virgil Frazier (Ann) of McIntyre; eight grandchildren, Melinda, Cathy, Heather, Cody, Johanna, McKayla and Cameron; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
