Theft by Taking
Deputies were dispatched to a Frank Bone Road apartment Aug. 24 in reference to the theft of a motorcycle. The complainant stated that her boyfriend’s motorcycle was parked in a parking space in front of the apartment building for approximately a month. She received a call from her boyfriend stating that the motorcycle was missing from the parking space and he does not know who could have taken it.
Theft by Shoplifting
A man was charged with theft by shoplifting while drinking a Pepsi that he had just stolen from an Allen Memorial Drive store Aug. 26. Upon arrival to the store, the deputy noticed the man outside the building drinking the soda. While questioning the subject, the man asked the officer for a lighter for a cigar he wanted to smoke. Upon further investigation, the deputy discovered that along with the Pepsi, the man had stolen the cigar from the store as well.
A deputy reported to a Forest Valley Drive residence Aug. 26 as a request by a complainant to assist with a verbal confrontation. Upon arrival the officer came upon two people, the complainant and his girlfriend. The man requested that the deputy be present just in case the altercation escalated. A relative of the girlfriend pulled up in a vehicle to check on her. The man became enraged by the relative’s presence and began cursing and yelling. After repeated requests to the man to get him under control, he was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Milledgeville Police Department
On Aug. 24 at approximately 2:01 p.m. an officer met with a man at a Barrows Ferry Road address in regards to a stolen weed eater. The man stated that sometime between Aug. 23 and Aug. 24, an unknown person took his weed eater from the bed of his pick up truck.
While patrolling in the area of Hardwick Street Aug. 24, an officer observed a male and female on the corner of the street, breaking apart an unknown substance. The man was seen grabbing the item from the female and placing it in his right hand when a bystander yelled out “police.” Upon making contact with the two individuals, the officer asked for what was in the man’s right hand. He handed the officer a brown bag, which contained a green leafy substance.
