Jamie Kersey obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — Funeral services for Jamie Kersey, 43, of Covington was held Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn, Ga., with burial following in Rainey Cemetery.

Mr. Kersey died Aug. 10, 2013, after an extended illness. Jamie was riased in Snellville, Ga., where he attended schools. Born in Albany, Ga., he was the son of Al and Mary Roberts Kersey and was of the Baptist faith.

He was a former road construction engineer before his health failed him.

He is survived by his parents, Al and Mary Robers Kersey of Milledgeville; his daughter, Kristen Kersey of Madison; a brother Al Kersey III of Lawrenceville; a sister, Tammy Lynn Morgans-Gough of Eatonton; his paternal grandmother, Dot Kersey of Covington; and a large number of aunts and uncles and one nephew and cousins.

The family received friends Staturday, Aug. 17, 2013, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Perry Funeral Chapel, 301 McLendon St., Ashburn, Ga.
