MILLEDGEVILLE — Mrs. Linda Moon Sadler was born in Morgan County, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. Ora Jean and Willie C. Moon on Jan. 23, 1961. She departed this life at her residence in the arms of her devoted husband early Saturday morning, March 8, 2014.

She was educated in the Morgan County School System grades one through 10 and graduated from Putnam County High School in 1979. She was an honor student with full scholarship offers from Emory and Georgetown universities. However, she accepted and attended Bradford College, Bradford, Mass., receiving an associate of arts degree with high honors. She was the recipient of the Mathematics Prize Award for outstanding work in math. She continued her education at Georgia College and State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

She confessed Christ at a very early age and became a member of Clements Chapel Methodist Church. On Aug. 21, 1983, Linda married the love of her life, Gary D. Sadler. After a few years their union was blessed with the birth of a beautiful daughter, Leslie Hope Sadler. Linda was a lovable person. She loved the Lord; she loved people and witnessing about the goodness of the Lord. She was a giver; “she would give the shirt off of her back.” She loved reading the Bible and other books, listening to praise, worship and classical music. She said, “It soothed the spirit.”

She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband, Gary D. Sadler; her daughter, Hope Sadler; her parents, Ora Jean Styles (Al Joseph), Willie C. Moon (Sarah); sisters, Anitha Smith (Tommy), Janis Andrews; sisters-in-law, Ida M. Sadler, Mamie Caldwell (Nate), Priscilla Singleton (Elvis), Debra Lynne Harrison (Mike), Marie Perriman (Fred), Frances Roberts (Marvin); caregivers, Lee Lynwood, Charlene Cox, cousin; a “like her own child” niece, Kristian Andrews; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014, 11 a.m. at Clements Chapel Methodist Church, 583 Gray Road, Eatonton with remains placed in state at 9:30 a.m.; Pastor Mamie Caldwell, officiating. Interment will follow at Clements Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. The family received friends Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
