MILLEDGEVILLE — Leah Stratton passed away on July 27, 2013.  She was born in South Amboy, N.J. on Jan. 11, 1935.  She taught Sunday school in the First Methodist Church - now Trinity United.

Leah graduated salutatorian from Harold G. Huffman High School where she was president of her senior class. She also graduated from Berkely Secretarial School and worked at California Oil Co. in Perth Amboy, N.J. for 11 years. Leah married Donald Stratton in 1955.

Work assignments for Donald moved them from New York to California. While in Boulder, Colo., from 1988 to 1994, she was very active in the Boulder Community Hospital as a volunteer. Leah knew many patients, staff and doctors and became president-elect of the Womans Auxillary. In that position, she helped raise thousands of dollars for the hospital.

Leah and Don retired in 1996 and moved to Reynolds Plantation in Eatonton, Ga., to be close to their two sons, Todd and Mark, and their families that include five grandchildren.

Although they traveled the world over, their greatest satisfaction came from watching their grandchildren grow. Private services were held.
