Crime Digest

MILLEDGEVILLE — Possession of methamphetmine

Officers initiated a traffic stop Oct. 11 on a vehicle that failed to dim its lights for the approach of two other vehicles. During the traffic stop officers learned that a passenger in the car was wanted for an active arrest warrant in Putnam County. The individuals were patted down and the vehicle searched and, no drugs were found. The female with the arrest warrant was turned over to a Putnam County sheriff's deputy. Baldwin County Sheriff's Office was later informed that the female had been in possession of nine baggies of methamphetamine. The individual has been charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute in Baldwin County.

Abandoned vehicle

A vehicle was reported off Meriwether Road Oct. 11 with no tag or VIN.

Forgery

An individual reported Oct. 11 that his vehicles’ titles had been fraudulently changed to another person’s name.

Disorderly conduct

An individual was cited with disorderly conduct Oct. 9 after it was reported that she was verbally aggressive and used inflammatory language.

Theft by taking

An individual reported Oct. 12 that while giving two men a ride his vehicle was taken as he paid for gas. The vehicle was later found.

A historical marker located on North Clark Street was reported stolen Oct. 10.

An individual reported Oct. 12 that $40 had been stolen from his room.

 Criminal trespass

An individual was reported as having punched out the front door glass at a downtown restaurant Oct. 11. An individual matching the description was later found and identified as the same man who punched out the glass. The man was charged with criminal trespass and underage possession of alcohol.

 Burglary

It was reported Oct. 12 that a Kenmore washer and dryer had been taken from a home on Commodore Drive.
