Evie Durden obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — Funeral Services for Mrs. Evie Mae Stephens Durden, 94, will be conducted Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 4 p.m. in Black Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph Story officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Mrs. Durden was a native of Sparta and lived in Baldwin county most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Finnie Mae Johnson Stephens. She was retired from Central State Hospital and preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Evans Durden. She was a member of Black Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Dorothy Little of Gray, Nellie (Printis) Williamson of Gordon, Frances (James) Bridges of Ivey, Charleen (Bubba) Dixon of Milledgeville; sons, John Durden and Lonnie (Nell) Durden, both of Milledgeville; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
