MILLEDGEVILLE — Eric Lane Pierce, 31,  passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Freedom Church. Burial will follow at Snow Hill Cemetery in Wilkinson County.

Eric was a resident of Baldwin County and was a 2000 graduate of Baldwin High School where he earned a business seal on his diploma. He went on to receive his associate degree from Georgia Military College and his certificate for Medical Billing & Coding from Georgia College & State University. He was a member of the Wheeling Sportsman Foundation and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He was a member of Freedom Church. His passions included hunting, fishing, his family, church and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Lena McCoy Dixon.

Survivors include his parents, James (Bo) and Joyce Pierce; a very faithful and beloved brother, Roger Edward Pierce; his dedicated companion and protector, Sport Pierce; his grandfather, Dovie Dixon; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
