MILLEDGEVILLE — Zane Ausburn Greene, 89, died Friday, June 14, 2013, at Lynn Haven Nursing Home. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., prior to a 3 p.m. funeral service on Monday, June 17, 2013, at Clinton United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ricky Varnell will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Clinton.

Mr. Greene, the son of the late Dennis Ausburn Greene and Lorine Roberts Greene, was born in Clinton on August 13, 1923, and had lived in Jones County his entire life. After completing his education, he served honorably in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, seeing overseas duty in the Pacific Theatre. He was a loyal and active member of Clinton United Methodist Church for all of his 89 years. He and his late wife, Anne Moughon Greene, were lovingly devoted to each other for 68 years.

Mr. Greene is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Terry Zane and Joy Greene; daughter and son-in-law, Kibby and JoeBen Jackson; grandchildren and spouses, Scott and Ashley Greene, Kelli and Hunter Squires and Casey and Ashton Green; and by his great-grandchildren, Grace Greene, Zane Greene and Lawson Green.
