MILLEDGEVILLE — Roger Waymon Crooms, 61, of Monroe, died on Feb. 7, 2014. He was born in Milledgeville on June 30, 1952 to the late Olive Belle Scott Crooms and the late George Overton Crooms.

Surviving are: wife, Brenda Crooms of Monroe; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Andrew Stone of Bostwick, Sherry and Willie Pilcher of Social Circle, Samantha Metcalf of Monroe; sons and daughters-in-law, Jasper and Brandy Crooms of Covington, Andy and Kathy Crooms of Covington, Richard Leon and Heather Walker of Monroe; sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce McDonald of Sylacauga, Ala., Mattie and Wayman Johnson of Sandersville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Myra Crooms of Covington, Jasper Crooms and Lynn Hurt of Milledgeville; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Don Malcom officiating.
