James Goins obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — Mr. James "Bo" Goins, 70, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph Story officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Toomsboro, Ga.

The family will be at the Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. to receive friends.

Mr. Goins was a native of Wilkinson County and had made his home in Baldwin County for most of his adult life. He was the son of the late Jim and Vera Bray Goins and was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Goins.

Mr. Goins retired from Oconee Regional Medical Center where he had worked for 34 years. He served as a deacon of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he was a member for more than 25 years.

He is survived by his sisters, Mattie (Harold) Oliver of Hampton, Jimmie (Alex) Rider, Ann Howell and Sue (Bobby) Wright, all of Milledgeville; brothers, Leeroy (Faye) Goins of Milledgeville and Bobby (Katie) Goins of Twin City; devoted niece, Denise (Terry) Barrentine; sister-in-law, Sarah Goins; a number of nieces, nephews and many loving friends also survive.

Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Fund 209 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Gordon, Ga. 31031.
