Randolph Walker 'PaPa' Bloodworth obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — HARDWICK — Randolph Walker "PaPa" Bloodworth, 84, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013. The family will greet friends after 6 p.m. Friday at the home of Tara and John Walker at 1099 Council McCrainie Road in Milledgeville. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Cool Water Chapel,  2292 Ga. Highway 49 North at Commissioner Creek in Jones County. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, with full military honors.

Mr. Bloodworth was born May 31, 1928, in Jones County, to the late Lonnie Sammons Bloodworth and Mary Neal Bloodworth. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, serving in the Central Pacific 20th Air Force, 19th Bomber Wing in Guam and Sipan. Mr. Bloodworth retired from the Georgia National Guard as a Sergeant 1st Class in 1988, then retired from Robins Air Force Base in 1991. In retirement he was an inventor, builder and goat farmer. Mr. Bloodworth built and established Cool Water Chapel. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Achie Avery Bloodworth.

Mr. Bloodworth is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Patsy and Mike Satterwhite and Judy and Richard Carlisle; grandchildren and spouses: Melanie Satterwhite and Aymen Sfaxi of Paris, France, David Satterwhite, Tara and John Walker, Adam and Alicia Cowart and Haley Carlisle of Milledgeville; and by his great-grandchildren: Kaleb Carter, Emily Walker, Leecy, Regan, Madelyn and Gracelyn Cowart.
