Crime Digest

MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by Taking

Deputies were dispatched to a J.F. Hall Road address Aug. 22 in reference to a vehicle theft. The complainant stated that a vehicle owned by his son had been taken from under a shed on his property sometime during the day. Upon inspection of the shed, deputies observed fragments of broken glass and tire marks that appeared to come from the stolen vehicle.


A deputy responded to a burglary call at a Little Road residence Aug. 22. The owner of the residence reported that sometime between Aug. 19 and Aug. 22, an unknown person broke into his residence and stole a 40-inch flat screen television, a Magnavox blue ray disc player, a speaker system and an air purifier.   

Criminal Trespass

Deputies were dispatched to a Wolverine Street church Aug. 21 in reference to criminal trespass and damage to a vehicle. Upon arrival, they met with the pastor of the church who stated that between Aug. 19-21, an unknown person entered onto the property and caused damage to the church van. The deputies observed the passenger side windows of the vehicle were busted out.

Criminal Damage to Property

On Aug. 22 at approximately 6:57 p.m. a deputy responded to a call at a North Main Street address in reference to criminal damage to property. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who stated that while working on the inside of the unoccupied residence, he heard some a noise. Upon further investigation, he discovered that someone was outside shooting the windows of the residence. He noticed two males in the back of the residence. One man was in possession of a pellet gun in the waistband of his shorts.
