MILLEDGEVILLE — Mrs. Tillie Hitchcock Bass, 86, passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013.

Funeral services will be conducted, 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at the Lakeshore Community Church, Twin Bridges Community. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, Milledgeville, Saturday, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mrs. Bass was a native of Washington County. She was the daughter of the late Marcus Newman Hitchcock and the late Annie Eva Shurling Hitchcock. She was the widow of the late George W. Bass and was predeceased by her son, Tracy Bass. Mrs. Bass was a member of the Lakeshore Community Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Bass of Tucker; sons, Gary Bass and wife Robin, and Glen (Tiger) Bass and wife Melissa, of Lake Sinclair; sisters, Shirley Sinclair and Betty Baird of Gray; brothers, George Curtis Hitchcock and Tommy Hitchcock of Macon, Fred Hitchcock of Twiggs County, Terry Hitchcock of Gray and James Hitchcock of Canton; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Lakeshore Community Church Missionary Fund.
