Ronald Wayne Manning obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Wayne Manning, 66, will be conducted Wednesday, Sept 11, 2013, at  1:30 p.m. in Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Milledgeville with the Rev. David Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm.

Mr. Manning passed away Sept. 8, 2013. H was a native of Carey, Ga. and had made his home in Macon for most of his life.

He was the son of the late Theopolis Manning and Hazel Horton Manning and was predeceased by a sister, Patsy Burke, and brother, Perry Manning.

Mr. Manning was retired from Armstrong Corporation and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam and was Purple Heart and Silver Star recipient.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clair Gaultney Manning of Macon; son, Donnie, of Macon; sisters, Peggy Smith of Spartanburg, S.C., and Margie Lucas of Carey, Ga.; brothers, Danny Ray Manning and Jerry Manning of Carey, Ga.
