Ruby McDaniel obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — Mrs. Ruby Meeks McDaniel,80, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 8, 2013, at 11a.m. in Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville Chapel with Dr. Jerry Pickard officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the funeral home Sunday  from 4 to 6 p.m. to receive friends.

Mrs. Ruby Meeks McDaniel was a native of Washington County and had lived most of her life in Baldwin County. She was the daughter of the late Henry Clapton Meeks and Thelma Godfrey Meeks and was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack McDaniel, and son, Ted McDaniel.

She had worked at Fortsman previously JP Stevens until her retirement. Then she became a full-time grandmother. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters Jacquelyn (Eric) Skowbo of Florida, Ruby Hay Lahovitch of Sparta and Robin (Wayne) Beatty of North Carolina; son, Johnny (Sunee) McDaniel of Milledgeville; sister, Maybell Anderson of Oconee; and half sisters Mary Varrow, Cathrine Jones and Sara Giddens; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
