Gloria Bloodworth Bacon

MILLEDGEVILLE — Gloria Bloodworth Bacon, 69, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour surrounded by her family Oct. 28, 2013.

She was a native of Laurens county and had made her home in St. Marys, Ga., for a number of years before returning to Irwinton in 2002.

She was a master cosmetologist and taught at Macon Vocational Technical school and retried from Gilman Paper Company. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Louise Davison Bloodworth and a member of the Irwinton Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Richard C. Bacon of Irwinton; sons, Pat (Lisa) Bacon of Crestview, Fla., Raymond (Becky) Bacon of Warner Robins, Jason (Carrie Baker) Kinchen of Murfreesboro,Tenn., and Nat (Emma) Bacon of Irwinton; nine grandchildren; a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Irwinton Baptist Church with Dr. Bob Murphy and the Rev. Earl Saxon officiating. Interment will follow in Irwinton Masonic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Irwinton Baptist Church Friday from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
