Crime Digest

MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by Shoplifting

An officer was dispatched to an East Hancock Street convenience store Sept. 18 in reference to a man stealing beer. The store clerk stated that she observed the man come into the store and take three 12-packs of Bud Light then walk out.

Criminal Damage to Property

Officers were dispatched to a Grandview Drive apartment Sept. 16 in reference to damage of a vehicle. The complainant stated that an unknown individual let the air out of all four of her tires sometime during the night.

Entering Auto

A woman reported the theft of items from her vehicle while it was parked at a gym on North Columbia Street Sept. 12. The woman told police that while she was in the gym, she was approached by a member of personnel who told her that she saw someone go into her vehicle. The woman checked her vehicle and discovered that the front passenger’s side window had been shattered and her purse was missing from the front seat.

Theft by Taking

A man staying at a North Columbia Street motel Sept. 12 reported the theft of items from his room by an unknown man. According to the complainant, while standing outside his room speaking with a female, he noticed a man run in and take personal items from the room. A General Lee knife, blood pressure pills, and medication were reported missing.

Theft by Shoplifting

An officer was dispatched to an East Hancock Street convenience store Sept. 18 in reference to a shoplifter. The store clerk informed the officer that a man took some food and drink items from the store and consumed them without paying for them.

Disorderly Conduct

Officers were dispatched to West Side pool hall Sept. 19 in reference to a request to have a man removed from the property. Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant who stated that one of the customers was belligerent outside of the pool hall.
