Sylvia Smith obit,

MILLEDGEVILLE — Eatonton — Mrs. Sylvia Underwood Smith, 76, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. in Eatonton Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the Georgia Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.

The family will be at the church Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until the service hour to receive friends.

 Mrs. Smith was a native of Pottersville, Ga. She grew up in Reynolds and had made her home in Milledgeville for the past 12 years. She was the daughter of the late Frederick Sykes Underwood and Leila Kate Underwood and was predeceased by a son, Jeff Smith. She was a homemaker and was a member of Eatonton Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jerry R. Smith of Milledgeville; and children Julie (James) Brookshire of Friendswood, Texas, Jerron Smith of Virginia Beach, Va., and Rodney Smith, and Randy Smith of Milledgeville; sisters, Janice Childree of Milledgeville and Angela Young. Seven grandchildren also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Eatonton Presbyterian Church.
