MILLEDGEVILLE — Bobby Hugh Pledger, 81, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 2, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Pickard and the Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Pledger was a native of Horton, Ala., and lived in Smyrna, Ga., and Watkinsville, Ga., before making his home in Milledgeville. He worked in the poultry sales industry and was retired from Dekalb Ag Research. He was a former member of Mars Hill Baptist Church where he was a deacon and taught Sunday School for more than 25 years and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Charlcie Pledger,  and a sister, Fern Buckelew.

Survivors include his wife, Eloise M. Pledger of Milledgeville; two daughters, Amanda Wellborn (Randall) of Roswell and Sheri Thornton (John) of Milledgeville; a brother, Ronald Pledger; five sisters: Faye Downs, Wanda Richardson, Mary Dyar, Saundra Burns and Armorette Morrow; three grandchildren, Matthew and Emmaline Wellborn and Reagan Thornton.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
