MILLEDGEVILLE — Toomsboro  — Funeral services for Ila Davis McGinty will be conducted, Friday May 10, 2013, at 2 p. m.in the Toomsboro United Methodist Church. Internment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled for  Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williams-White Columns Funeral Home.

Ila Davis McGinty, 87, of Toomsboro passed away Tuesday, May 7 in Macon. She was the daughter of the late Charlie W. Davis and Fannie Spell Davis of Toomsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carswell McGinty;  sister, Ellen D. Lane; and brother, Elbert Davis.

 Mrs. McGinty was born in Wilkinson County and made this her home all of her life.  She was a wife, mother, grandmother and good friend to many.  Her priorities were family and making sure they had everything they needed.  She enjoyed spending time in the yard and growing beautiful flowers which she shared with the community for many events.  She also worked at the Wilkinson County Bank for many years.                                                

 Survivors include son, Robert D. McGinty (Paula) of Macon; daughter, Sandy M. Perkins (Mike) of Tallahassee, Fla.;  grandchildren,  Erica McGinty and Rachel McGinty of Atlanta and      Davis Perkins of Tallahassee, Fla.;  and brother,   Rufus Davis (Addie).
