Ethleen Davis obit, February 15, 2013

MILLEDGEVILLE — Mrs.  Etheleen Ladd Davis, 85, of Chamblee died Wednesday February 13, 2013, at Peachtree Christian Hospice.

Born in Gainesville, Ga., March 10, 1927, Mrs. Davis had lived in Chamblee and Doraville for most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Virgil S. and Trancy Lancaster Ladd.  She was retired from Equifax and was a member of Northwoods Baptist Church in Doraville.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law; Raymond and Sharon Davis of Auburn and Richard and Leslie Davis of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Brian Davis, Corey Davis and Leah Gomez; a great-grandchild, Nathan Gomez; sisters, Doris Simmons of Gainesville and Margaret Selmon of Bonaire; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years. John R. Davis  Jr.; daughter, Peggy Davis; sisters, Dorothy Michaels and Eunice Seabolt; brothers, Clarence Ladd and Carlton Ladd.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel.  The Rev. Phillip McQueen will officiate.  Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday February 14, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m.
