John Allen Leavens

IVEY —  

Funeral services for Mr. John Allen Leavens will be conducted at 1 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon in the Snow Hill Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at Williams White Columns today from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. 

Mr. Leavens was a native of Cook County, Georgia and had lived in Ivey for the past 24 years. He was son of the late Roscoe Leavens and the late Maysie Vining Leavens and was a member of the Snow Hill Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the Georgia National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie T. Leavens of Ivey; daughter, Loresia L. (David) Hodges of Ivey; sons, Victor (Kim) Strawder of Lake Park and Michael (Lori) Strawder of Gordon; sister, Sue Crumbley of Adel; brothers, Dewayne (Sheila) Leavens of Nashville, Tenn. and Walter (Robin) Leavens of Adel; and eight grandchildren, one great grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Snow Hill Methodist Church Benevolent Fund, 1500 Snow Hill Church Rd., Gordon, GA 31031
