MILLEDGEVILLE — Mr. Harry R. Stevens, "Mr. Bulldog", 73, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Pickard officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery.

The family will be at Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 to receive friends.

Mr. Stevens was a lifelong resident of Milledgeville. He was the son of the late Raymond K. Stevens and Francina Simpson Coarsey and was predeceased by his wife, Martha Day Stevens, and daughter, Lynn F. Osburn.

Mr. Stevens was a veteran of the U.S. Army, worked as a dispatcher for the Baldwin County Sherriff's Office, the Central State Hospital Police Department and the Georgia State Patrol. He was a member of Northside Baptist Chruch and a huge supporter of the GMC Bulldogs.

He is survived by his daughters, Susan (Shannon) Bloodworth and Vanessa (Rocky) McDade, all of Milledgeville; sisters, Grace (O'neal) Layton of Warner Robins and Linda (Amy) Coarsey of Decatur; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his companion "Lucy".
