Jean Evans Goggans

MILLEDGEVILLE — The death of Mrs. Jean Evans Goggans, 84, occurred Friday, Feb. 7, 2014.  Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at 11 a.m.  with the Rev. Bill Kitchen officiating. Burial will follow in Baldwin Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Goggans was born in Harrellsville, N.C. but had made her home in Milledgeville for many years. She was retired from Belk’s and was a member of the Hardwick Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Goggans, and a daughter, Debbie Scott.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Goggans of Milledgeville; one sister, Iris McNanney of Durham, N.C., her son-in-law, Tom Scott of Macon; five grandchildren, Travis Goggans (Amanda), Will Scott (Ivy), Kristy Arnold (Brian), Alison Scott and Elizabeth Goggans; great-grandchildren, Brandon Arnold, Brittney Arnold and Harper Scott.

The family will be at Moores Funeral Home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. for friends to call.
