David Sanford Sr.

MILLEDGEVILLE — A celebration of life for Mr. David Sanford Sr. of Milledgeville will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 at Union Baptist Church, 720 N. Clark St., Milledgeville with the interment following at Westview Cemetery.

Services will begin noon. Remains will be placed in state at 11 a.m. until the hour of service.

Mr. Sanford departed this life on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014. He was a faithful and devoted member of Union Baptist Church for 20-plus years and served as an usher until his health declined.

His precious memory will linger in the hearts of his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Mrs. Slettie Bell Stephens-Sanford of Milledgeville; three sons, Edward Sanford, David (Deloise) Sanford Jr. and Wallace Sanford, all of Milledgeville; two sisters, Ophelia Mullins and Lillian Roberson; two grandchildren; nieces, Regina Kerbo and Cynthia Smith; nephews, Richard "Boo" Mullins Jr. and Cedric B. Davis; and other family and friends.
