O.T. Pounds

MILLEDGEVILLE — Funeral services for Mr. O.T. Pounds, 88, of Milledgeville will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Long, the Rev. Paul Baker and the Rev. Norman Waldrip officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.

Pounds passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014.

The family will be at Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville on  Friday to receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Pounds was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County, the son of the late Jesse B. Pounds and Emma Miller Pounds, he was predeceased by his son, J.T. Pounds, and grandsons, Jamie Pounds and Chase Akins.

Pounds was a self employed contractor and was a member of Sinclair Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sheela Pounds of Milledgeville; children, Tammy (Brad) Threatt, Dawn (Jeff) Register, Tracy (Duane) Fountain, Robin (Dennis) Gettis , all of Milledgeville, and  Barry Ryle of  Clay, N.Y.; grandkids,  Walt and Wesley Gettis, Brandon Pounds, Baylee Akins, Bradley Threatt, Harley, Mason and Logan Fountain, Tiffany, Heather, Joey and Jacob Ryle and Anita Kravats; great-grandchildren, Morgan Gettis, Taylor Gettis, Asia Kravats, Tara Kravats; brother, Roy (Runette) Pounds of Milledgeville; sister , Mildred (Jerry) Moore of Grovetown; niece, Sandy Bagwell  of Martinez; nephew, Willie (Betty Jean) Sanders; a number of other nieces and nephews; and other relatives also survive.
