Alvin Bruce obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — Mr. Alvin Talmadge Bruce, 80, of Lake Sinclair passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013, in a Macon hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Alvin bruce will be conducted Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at 1:30 pm in Williams Funeral home Chapel in Milledgeville. Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.

The family received  friends at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Bruce was a native of Rockdale County and had made his home on Lake Sinclair since 1983. He was predeceased by a daughter, Martha Watson.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired truck driver with Embry Farms and was a member of Island Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Vicki Taylor of McDonough, Connie (Gregory) Pressley of Lake Sinclair and Pam (Ray) Rosser of Conyers; a son, Keith (Jackie) Bruce of Warner Robins; sisters, Jackie Sherriff of Monticello, Jan (Leonard) Mitchell and Ruth (William) Roberts of Covington; brothers, Gene (Nancy) Bruce of Greensboro and Hoyt (Minnie) Bruce of Covington and Edsel (Mary) Bruce of Monroe; 13 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren and on great-great-grandchild.
