MILLEDGEVILLE — Driving While License Suspended

While traveling on North Jefferson Street July 8, a police officer noticed a vehicle with an expired car tag. Upon initiating a traffic stop on East Montgomery Street, the officer asked the driver for his licenses and proof of insurance. The driver admitted that his licenses was suspended.

Theft by Taking

A customer at a North Columbia Street hotel reported the theft of her prescription medication from her room July 6. The woman stated that she left her room several times to go to the swimming area. There was a bottle of 90 Loratab pills in a prescription bottle in her suitcase. After returning to her residence July 8, she noticed that the prescription bottle was missing.

Burglary

Officers were dispatched to a restaurant on South Wayne Street at approximately 10:53 a.m. July 8 in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival they spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime during the weekend, an unknown person(s) entered the business and stole multiple tools.

Entering Auto

A man reported the theft of his car keys from inside his vehicle while it was parked at a Roberson Mill Road gas station July 8. The man stated that while his son had the  car parked near a gas pump, someone went inside the vehicle and took the car keys.

Burglary

Officers were dispatched to a North Elbert Street address July 8 in reference to a burglary case. The complainant told officers that when she arrived home she noticed that someone had stolen her window air conditioning unit from the bedroom window. She also stated that she was missing her address book from inside her purse.

Criminal Damage to Property

A woman reported damage to her Grimes Avenue home by an unknown person(s). Upon returning from a stay at the hospital, the woman reported noticing that the back window of the residence had been broken.
