Henry L. Sheppard obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — Funeral services for Henry L. Sheppard, 65, will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Northridge Christian Church with the Rev. Mike Waers officiating. Interment will follow in Heritage Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. to receive friends.

Henry Sheppard entered this world on August 4, 1947, in Sandersville, Ga., and lived most of his life in Milledgeville. He lived life with passion whether as a high school football star or a successful entrepreneur.

He was blessed with two sons who needed a father, and he willingly and lovingly stepped into that role.

His sons, David and Craig, blessed him with wonderful daughters-in-law, Heather and Brandi, and four grandchildren that were the loves of his life, Ashley, David, Mason, and Eli.

Henry loved his Lord and served him and His church with the same passion and energy with which he lived the rest of his life. He was a partner of Northridge Christian Church and loved God’s family. He loved life on God’s created earth but was looking forward to a new and glorious life with his Savior. He is at peace now.

Henry is survived by his wife, Elaine Sheppard; his mother, Dora Sheppard;  and two brothers, Danny Sheppard and Milton “Shorty” Sheppard.

He has a large, extended family each of whom he loved and influenced in special ways.

In lieu of flowers the family request expressions of sympathy be made to Northridge Christian Church.

Express online condolences at

Williams Funeral Home & Crematory of Milledgeville in charge of arrangements.
