Ella Taylor


Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ella Taylor will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at 11a.m. at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Mrs. Ella Lee Blount Taylor, age 86, of Wilkesboro, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at her home. Mrs. Taylor was born July 17, 1926, in Milledgeville to Dolly Thomas and Mary Annie Layfield Blount. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Barbara Taylor; granddaughter, Melissa Boone Dyer; and great-grandson, Robert Benjamin Dyer.

Surviving are her husband, Robert “Tut” Taylor; four sons: Robert Taylor Jr. of Greensboro; Mark Taylor and wife Valerie of Nashville, Tenn.; Lester Taylor and wife Kerri of Omaha, Neb.; and David Taylor and wife Linda of Hays; three daughters: Shirley Smith and husband Charles of McIntyre;, LouEllen Bolan of Canada; and Linda Taylor of Lewisburg, Tenn.; sister, Lucille Beck of Swainsboro; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Kidney Transplant Fund for great-grandson, Tristan, c/o Tanya Phillips, 805 Haverhill Circle, Warner Robbins, Ga. 31088.
