MILLEDGEVILLE — Funeral Services for Mrs. Alice Louise Forringer, 91, will be conducted on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Milledgeville with Dr. Mike Cavin and Dr. Jay Hodges officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Mrs. Forringer was a native of Freeport, Penn., and had lived in Milledgeville for the past 7 years having moved from Florida. She was the daughter of the late Vernon and Elva Hesselgesser Shaffer. She enjoyed playing the piano and had played for her church in Pennsylvania for 37 years. Mrs. Forringer loved quilting and sewing and was active in Needles for Jesus, the Women’s Society and the Fifties plus group of First United Methodist Church where she was a member.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Forringer of Milledgeville; sons, Jim (Maxine) Forringer of Eatonton, Edward Forringer of Franklin, N.C., and Terry Forringer of Portsmouth, Va.; grandchildren- Jeffrey (Rebecca) Forringer of Flemington, N.J., Todd (Andrea) Forringer of Boiling Springs, S.C., and Barbara (Al) Rasmus of Littleton, Mass.; and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Chancel Choir.
