ARCHDALE, Ga. —
Charles Leonard McManus, 70, a resident of Archdale, passed away, Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013.
Charles was born Dec. 21, 1942 in Cobb County, to the late Nolan McManus and Annie Mae Morgan McManus and had been a resident of the Archdale area for 33 years. He worked for Rexham Corporation of Greensboro, and retired after 38 years of service. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were several brothers and sisters.
On Oct. 28, 1961, he was married to Ruby Freeman, she survives of the home. Also surviving are his children: Al McManus and his wife Tonya of Siler City and Arleen Curl of Panama City, Fla.; his sister: June Owensby of Marietta; his grandchildren: Rebecca Caitlin McManus and Lacy Morgan Curl; his step grandchildren: Hannah Murphy and Adam Rierson; and his step great-grandchildren: Zoe and Avery Murphy.
A service to celebrate Charles’ life will be held Sunday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. from the graveside in Mountain View Park Cemetery in Marietta.
