William “Billy” Ray Council obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — Mr. William “Billy” Ray Council, 69, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. in Williams Funeral Home Chapel of Milledgeville with the Rev. Roy Kittle officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. to receive friends.

Mr. Council was a native of Macon and had lived in Milledgeville all his life. He loved Nascar racing, stock cars, football, golf, fishing and getting out and going.

He was the son of the late Tott and Effie Mae Granade Council, worked for Central State Hospital and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann McDaniel Council; daughters, Melissa Council and Susan (Jimmy) Warren, all of Milledgeville; sons, Roy (Pam) Hancock of McIntyre and Larry “Wayne” (Sandra) Hancock of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Dwayne, Richard, Curtis, Maria, Kimberly and Amy Hancock, Rebecca and Derek Warren, Phillip, Amanda, Debbie and Larry Hancock; brother, Edward Council; and a number of nieces and nephews.
