Helen Golden obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — Helen Peebles Golden, 72, of McIntyre passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013.

Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Nunn Wheeler Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the residence.

Mrs. Golden was a native of Indian Town, Fla., the daughter of the late Dudley Gilford Peebles and the late Lucille Ruffin Peebles.

She was the widow of Edward M. Golden.

Mrs. Golden had made her home in McIntyre since 1986. A homemaker and part-time caterer, Mrs. Golden worked as a special education teacher for many years.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy (Edward) Kuczynski of Valdosta and Nancy (Bob) Burton of Punta Gouda, Fla.; sons, Michael (Sharon) Golden of McIntyre, John Corley of Davey of Florida and Rickie Corley of Boone, N.C.; grandchildren, Mary, Jennie, Amy and John Michael Kuczynski; Tara Hendry, Matt Burton, Joseph Golden, Hannah Golden and Oliver Corley.

Those wishing may make memorial contributions to United Hospice, 6060 Lake Commons Drive or to the Wounded Warriors Project.
