William Stapp obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — EATONTON — Mr. William Bryant Stapp Jr., 75, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Heritage Point Church (formerly Marshall Memorial Baptist Church) with the Rev. John McMillian Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Eatonton Memorial Park.

The family will be at Williams Funeral Home of Eatonton Saturday, April 6, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. to receive friends.

Mr. Stapp was a native of Social Circle, Ga., and had made his home in Eatonton. He was the son of the late William B. Stapp Sr. and Maxie Brown Stapp and was also preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Atkinson Stapp.

He enjoyed restoring old cars and trucks. He retired from Rock Eagle and was a member of Central Methodist Church.

He is survived by his son,s Rex Stapp and Roger (Trina) Stapp, all of Eatonton; daughter, Janet (Scott) Prevatte of Greenwood, S.C.; grandchildren, Angela (Shane) Hurst, Richard Stapp, Alisha Herring Fuston, Danielle Stapp and Daniel Stapp; and great-grandchildren Juila Jane Fuston, Haley Hurst, Mason Fuston and Kaley Hurst.
