MILLEDGEVILLE —  

Kenneth W. Carpenter, 85, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Carpenter was a native of Lenora, Kan., but had made his home in Milledgeville for many years. He was the owner and operator of Kenneth Carpenter Plumbing Contractors. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene C. Carpenter of Milledgeville; daughter, Selia Geeter (Shane) of Milledgeville; stepson, Alvin Booth of Atlanta; and two grandchildren, Kristen Geeter and Kelly Geeter.  

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday  at Moores Funeral Home.
