Dorothy Johnson

MILLEDGEVILLE — Mrs. Dorothy Collins Johnson, 79, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013. Funeral services will be Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville chapel with the Rev. Larry Glover officiating. Interment will follow in Ramah Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. to receive friends. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Wilkinson County and had lived in Baldwin County for most of her adult life. She was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Ruby McCullough Collins and was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Johnson, and daughter, Shirley Bloodworth. She retired from Central State Hospital as an LPN after 25 years and was a member of Scottsboro Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Tracie (William) Wallace of Hendersonville, N.C.; sons, Van Johnson and Morris Johnson of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Kathy Cassel, Josh Johnson, Tomalynn Johnson, Paige Wallace, Sierra Wallace and Maeve Wallace; brothers, James Collins of Milledgeville and Robert Collins of Carnesville; and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Oconee Regional Medical Center Cancer Center.
