MILLEDGEVILLE — Mr. Richard "Ricky" Franklin Ward, 61, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Williams Funeral Home of Gordon Chapel with the Rev. Todd Black and the Rev. Mitch Edge officiating. Interment will follow in Ramah Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. to receive friends.

Mr. Ward was a native of Hawkinsville, Ga., and had lived in Ivey, Ga., for the past 20 years.   He was the son of the late Mary Pearson Ward. He retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad where he worked in the track department in North Carolina.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheena Garad of Milledgeville; sons, Todd (Tracey) Ward and Shane Ward, all of Ivey; father, Rupert Ward of South Carolina; girlfriend, Jacquelyn Roberts of Ivey; brother, Eddie (Mary Ruth) Ward of South Carolina; sisters, Mary Lou Taylor of MS; Patricia Ann (Jay) Pearson of Gray and Janice Ward of Macon; and seven grandchildren.
