MILLEDGEVILLE — Sibyl Lavender Kinchen, 90, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014.

Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Gordon. The Rev. Maxie Threatt and the Rev. Paul Curry will officiate. Burial will be in Ramah Cemetery.

Mrs. Kinchen was born in Irwinton, the daughter of the late Julian Homer and Johnnie Jones Lavender. She was the widow of the late Lee Willis Kinchen.

Mrs. Kinchen was a retired dental assistant with Central State Hospital and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gordon.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly (Ray) Wilson; her son, Larry Lee (Donna) Kinchen; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 Saturday before services in the First Baptist Church, Gordon.
