MILLEDGEVILLE — Mrs. Rubye Peacock Purser, 93, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville with the Rev. Berry Collin officiating. Internment will be private in Mullis Cemetery of Bleckley County.

The family received friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Mrs. Purser was a native of Cochran and had made her home in Baldwin County. She was the daughter of the late William Saul Peacock and Alice Lou Jean Giddens Peacock and was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Morris Giddens. She had retired from the veteran's hospital in Dublin and retired in 1985.

She is survived by her daughters Lila Hadden and Neil Lowrie both of Milledeville; son James Dwight Giddens of Monroe County; and sisters Ruth Johnson of Dubin and Dovie Lou Thompson of Macon; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
