Sarah Will Franks Brown The Union-Recorder Sarah Will Franks Brown, age 89, died Tuesday Dec. 2, 2008. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Black Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Justin Terrell and the Rev. Brandon Furr officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Brown, a native of Washington County, made her home in Baldwin County where she retired from Central State Hospital Medical Surgical Building. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivey Walker and Elizabeth Cox Franks, her husband, Johnny Thomas Lanham, a brother, Roy E. Franks, and her sister, Marie F. Giles. She was a member of Black Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Charles Lanham (Sarah Ann) of Milledgeville; daughter, Deane L. Chapman Cannon of Gause, Texas; a sister, Louise Franks Newman of Sandersville; five grandchildren, Kenneth E. Chapman (Susan), Christopher E. Chapman (Melissa), Tommy Lanham (Crystal), Patrick Lanham, and Charlotte Lanham Brown (Alan); eight great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home. Visit www.mooresfuneralhome.con to express tributes.
