Allen C. “Al” Nelson Jr. of 1017 N. Wilkinson St. died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at his residence.

Funeral services will be Monday at one o’clock at the Chapel of All Faiths. Bishop James Thomas will officiate with burial in the Bone Cemetery.

Mr. Nelson was a life time resident of Baldwin County and the son of Allen C. Nelson Sr. and Lois Arnold Nelson. He was a 1969 graduate of J.F. Boddie High School and attended Fort Valley State College. he was retired from the Department of Corrections C.S.H. He was a member of Bible Revival Pentecostal Church and was studying to be an ordained deacon.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Christine Newton Nelson of Milledgeville; three daughters, Natalie Nelson Jarrett and husband Mark, Andrea C. Nelson both of Milledgeville, and Charlsi O. Nelson of Macon; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen C. Nelson Sr. of Milledgeville; four sisters, Velvalae Chambers, Vickie Edwards, Sheba Nelson all of Milledgeville, and Shandrena Cheney and husband Keith of Brooks, GA; two grandchildren, Jamarcus A. Jarrett and Jayla A. Jarrett of Milledgeville; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, many other relatives and friends.

The body will lie in state at the chapel from noon until the funeral hour.

The family may be contacted at the residence and at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allen C. Nelson Sr. of 128 Nathaniel Drive N.E.

Peoples Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
