Mr. Robert Lee Brown of 159 Harrisburg Road SW died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, in a local hospital.

Mr. Brown will lie in state from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Oak Grove Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Scenic Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Eva Brown of Milledgeville; two sons, Mr. Robert Leon Brown of Milledgeville and Mr. Alonzo Brown of Jacksonville, Fla.; four daughters, Mrs. Karen “Sissy” Roberts of Augusta, Mrs. Sandra “Chico” Simmons, Ms. Marion Smith and Ms. Hazel Webster, all of Milledgeville; one brother, Mr. Willie Brown of Teaneck, N.J.; three sisters, Mrs. Lula M. Phelps, Mrs. Lucille Goddard and Mrs. Garcell Hawkins, all of Milledgeville; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit the family at the home of Mrs. Sandra Simmons 309 Harrisburg Road.
